Henna Body Art Services
Henna is a safe & natural paste derived from the dried leaves of the Henna plant. The paste is applied to the skin in a beautiful design that leaves a temporary dark stain lasting up to 2 weeks. From simple to large, intricate designs, an expressive Henna Tattoo will give you something to show off! We offer professional services and designs for men & women, children & adults and individuals & groups.
We do not use "Black Henna" or "White Henna".
“White Henna” isn’t even Henna at all, and “Black Henna” contains a toxic additive called PPD that can cause skin reactions, leaving permanent damage. For your best interest and ours, we only use 100% natural Henna.
We do not offer Henna Tattoos for children under the age of 6.
This is for two reasons: safety and practicality. Henna can cause severe haemolytic anemia in young children who are G6PD deficient. However uncommon, this deficiency may go undiagnosed and it’s not worth the risk. Second, it takes some time to apply a tattoo and allow the paste to dry completely. For most young children, remaining still and cautious for that amount of time usually doesn’t work out.
Henna Party
Include henna as an add-on service to a spa party package.
Smaller designs can be an easy way to incorporate a fun element to a party, and leave guests with more than a memory to take home.
Add-On Service
Allow the Henna paste adequate time to dry before being touched - about 20 minutes. Henna paste will stain any part of the skin that it touches, so be careful not to smudge the design as it dries. Once the paste is completely dry, it won't stain skin or clothes.
Leave the dry paste on your skin for 2 to 24 hours. The longer it stays on, the darker the stain will be and the longer it will last after removal.
After 24 hours, remove any remaining paste from the skin. To remove, gently scrape it off - do not wash off with soap & water. Avoid contact with water as much as possible for the first 24 hours after the paste is removed as water will interrupt the oxidation process and darkening of the stain.
After the paste is removed, the stain will be a light yellow-orange color at first, and will darken into a rich red-brown over the next 48 hours. Henna stain will last for 1-2 weeks, gradually fading away over time.
Avoid directly washing or exfoliating the area of the tattoo, as this will cause it to fade faster. Apply a light layer of natural vegetable oil that can act as a barrier between the skin and water.
